Chapter Eleven
Thoroughly stuffed, I leaned back against the headboard and extended my legs. Being inside, like, really inside, with four walls, a locking door, and a bed, was such a luxurious treat. Rain continued to pelt the large window in our room, making me even more grateful for our current surroundings.
âSince you cooked such a gourmet meal, Iâll do the dishes.â Leslie folded the last onion ring into her mouth and carried the empty containers to the trash next to the microwave.
âHow many non-hiking days do you plan for on a long trip like this?â
âWell, not many. It took us four days to get here, so weâve already used up two, and weâre not even a hundred miles in. Why?â
âThatâs a non-answer, and the two extra days here donât count because they werenât non-hiking days. We hiked, and it sucked big time. We should get bonus days for hiking in shitty weather. I ask because I vote that we stay here until it stops raining and the trail dries up some.â
Leslie flopped onto the bed next to me, her head on the pillow as if she was calling it a night. âWhatever would we do with all that free time?â She reached up and tugged on the shoulder of my shirt.
âOh, Iâm sure we could think of something.â I slid down and snuggled next to her, propped up on my elbow.
Thereâd be no rain-soaked hikers interrupting us tonight. No discussions about the scenic eleven. Iâd been daydreaming about this for the last three days, ever since that epic kiss. Oh, that kiss. I stared at her lips, still wet from the last sip of her drink. She ran her tongue along the bottom edge of her front teeth, and I shivered in anticipation. She was simply irresistible.
I bent and grazed her lips with mine. She lifted her head slightly and closed the gap. Any inhibitions I might have had dissolved when her lips parted, and our kiss deepened. She was unlike anyone Iâd ever been with. She cupped the back of my head, wrapped her other arm around my waist, and pulled me half on top of her.
I didnât need to be asked twice. Without breaking our magical kiss, I swung my leg over her hips and tucked my other knee up so I could straddle her. I liked being on top, a position of control, and she felt oh-so good pinned between my legs. Her hand moved from my waist, down to my hips, and cupped my ass. She lifted her hips into me and applied pressure in just the right spot. I gasped and circled my hips counter to hers. She pushed harder. I shuddered. Her moves were blissfully effective, and in that instant, I understood that Iâd have no control when it came to her.
Leslie slowly moved her hands back to my hips, then slid them beneath my shirt and teased the skin of my lower back. Her hands were strong and commanding, yet tender and delicate. I wanted to feel her touch me everywhere, all at once.
